Flarial Launcher Privacy.

Privacy policy for the Flarial Launcher Android app (com.flarialmc.flarial_launcher). For our website, Windows launcher, and Minecraft client, see the main privacy policy.

Who we are

Flarial ("Flarial," "we," "us") publishes the Flarial Launcher. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@flarial.xyz or raised in our Discord server.

What the app does

The launcher loads the Flarial client, a cosmetic and utility modification, into your locally installed copy of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Injection, pack management, backups, and most settings are handled on your device. The public Android release does not require Discord or tester approval.

Launch analytics

The launcher sends limited first-party launch events to api.flarial.xyz so we can measure whether launches and ads complete and diagnose failures. Events can include:

  • a one-way hashed installation identifier derived from your Android device identifier, or a locally generated identifier when that is unavailable;
  • app version, event time, and a temporary launch-session identifier;
  • launch source and result, ad provider, and whether an ad played or was skipped, including a technical reason when available.

Events that cannot be sent immediately may be queued on the device and retried later. The client's separate in-game telemetry is described in the main privacy policy.

Ads and consent

The production Android app may show a launch-time interstitial ad. Google AdMob is the default provider; a remotely supplied configuration can select a LootLabs web ad instead.

  • Google's User Messaging Platform requests or refreshes consent information at app start and makes privacy options available when required. Your choices determine which ads Google may serve.
  • Ad providers and their partners may process standard network and device data such as IP address, user agent, device or advertising identifiers, consent strings, cookies, and ad interaction data to deliver, prevent fraud, and measure ads.
  • A LootLabs ad, when selected, opens in an in-app WebView with JavaScript and cookies enabled so the page can function.

Provider data is handled under the Google advertising policies and LootLabs privacy policy.

Optional Discord connection

Connecting Discord is optional in the public release. If you connect it for Flarial+ or tester benefits, the app uses Discord OAuth with the identify and guilds.members.read permissions. This lets Flarial identify your Discord account and verify current Flarial+ or tester eligibility. OAuth tokens are stored in encrypted app storage, excluded from Android backups, and removed locally when you disconnect.

Separate tester builds may require an eligible Discord role. This does not apply to the public Android build.

Crash reports

The launcher can automatically upload pending native crash reports at the next app start. Reports are used to reproduce and fix crashes and can include the hashed installation identifier, Flarial and Minecraft versions, Android version, CPU/ABI and core count, available memory and disk space, the signal and fault address, stack data, enabled modules, and the raw diagnostic dump. At most a small number of pending reports are retried from local storage.

Crash-report retention and access follow the diagnostic-data terms in the main privacy policy.

Microsoft / Xbox Live sign-in

Microsoft sign-in happens inside Minecraft after the game loads. The Flarial Launcher does not collect your Microsoft password or see the authentication tokens Minecraft uses. Microsoft handles that data under the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Android permissions

The current app declares these permissions for the following purposes:

  • INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — download Flarial assets, contact our API, connect Discord when requested, load ads, and report launch or crash diagnostics.
  • ACCESS_WIFI_STATE and CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE — support local-network discovery and related launcher features.
  • SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW / OVERLAY_WINDOW — display launcher and in-game overlay controls on top of Minecraft.
  • POST_NOTIFICATIONS, FOREGROUND_SERVICE, and WAKE_LOCK — keep launch work active and show its status when Android requires a foreground notification.
  • VIBRATE — provide touch feedback for supported controls.

The app does not request contacts, precise location, camera, microphone, SMS, or call-log permissions.

Data sharing

Depending on the features you use, information may be processed by:

  • Flarial's API and infrastructure for launch, entitlement, and crash services;
  • Google AdMob and its consent platform for advertising and privacy choices;
  • LootLabs when its launch ad is selected; and
  • Discord when you choose to connect your account.

We do not sell personal information.

Your choices

  • Open the app's privacy options when available to review or change advertising consent choices.
  • Disconnect Discord in the app and revoke access from Discord's Authorized Apps.
  • Revoke optional Android permissions in system settings. Features that depend on those permissions may stop working.
  • Uninstalling removes locally stored launcher data from the device.
  • Contact support@flarial.xyz for privacy questions or requests.

Children

The launcher is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where applicable.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be announced on the site or in Discord, and the date above identifies the current version.
